Flux Capacitor Studios is proud to announce a renewed creative partnership with longtime collaborator, filmmaker, and former co-star John Asher for its 2025–2026 development slate.
Founder Michael Manasseri and Asher’s creative relationship spans over two decades, beginning with their roles on the cult hit Weird Science, the long-running USA Network comedy series. In 2005, Manasseri produced Asher’s Sundance-selected comedy Dirty Love, further cementing their dynamic as collaborators both in front of and behind the camera.
The pair now reunite on multiple upcoming projects, including the highly anticipated romantic drama A Love Like This, starring Emmanuelle Chriqui and Hayes MacArthur, and set for release by Quiver Distribution in Q3 2025.
Kicking off the new slate is Territory, an action thriller set in the Pacific Northwest, written by Asher and Jordan Reid, and directed by Asher. The film is produced by Manasseri and Asher for Flux Capacitor Studios, alongside Ariane Fraser and Caleb Ward for Highland Film Group.
With this new wave of collaboration, Flux continues its mission to champion character-driven, globally relevant storytelling—and to evolve long-standing creative partnerships into future-forward content.
